Amazing considering what they have to work with. Wonder what that repair cost? Necessity is the mother of invention especially when the ground is your workbench and a hammer is your primary tool. They work hard and deserve credit. We are indeed fortunate to live in the USA.

I'll admit I've done similar to what they are doing however I turn breaker off to the lathe rather than just trusting neutral 100%.
How soon you've forgotten the roots of racing automobiles and how pit conditions use to be. In all fairness, they have new replacement parts and are doing a much better job at cleaning parts than I've seen many today do.
