Is that a beer tap in the back? Can't help with the history, but it looks like someone spent a lot of time and money on it at one point in it's life.

  4. I wouldn't say it's not HAMB-worthy, but there is some weirdness involved for sure...

Unique would be one way describe it, however those wheels don't do it justice!

someone emailed those pictures to me this morning, I have never seen it. I think the passenger door looks that way because it has suicide doors and it isn't shut. That could be way cooler than it is, get rid of the awful airbrush murals, put some side trim on it (maybe 55 pont trim) and give it a decent set of chrome wheels or Olds fiestas with bias ply 2 1/4" whitewalls... and get @Lloyd's paint & glass old lady to upholster it in pearl white naugahyde... and I made the pictures big, please always select "full image" when posting photos....

  14. Lose the crappy caps and murals and that’s one sexy beast.
    Love it.
I’d drive that beast with a big ole grin
Definitely belongs here with those minor issues handled.

The interior looks like more of the 70’s low rider style. Would definitely be a cool car with several adjustments

    Continental kit removed.

That interior deserves “Corinthian leather “.

that car would be the cats ass with a few adjustments. I would be all over it with that over the top interior .

It has the look of an old custom that some lowrider got his hands on in the 70's and added the suicide doors and all of the murals and maybe the mid 60's Ford headlight doors.
The mural work isn't traditional lowrider work an looks more like what you would see on a mid 70's custom van. If the murals are signed that might be the lead on it's history.

If it was solid Maroon with out the murals and had proper hubcaps rather than the worlds ugliest wheels. it would have a lot more mid 60's custom look to it.
One thing about it, no one here will be complaining if he decides to remove the murals and put a more traditional custom interior in it rather than the lowrider interior.

  21. Like I said, I would UN 70s it and have fun. A ton of potential. I need a kustom for my wife to drive. She has had her eyes on a few.

I'd find some appropriate wheel covers, and start a 1970s version of the HAMB, so I could keep the rest the the car the way it is. Yeah, I was a teenager in the 70s!

Pancaked hood, pancaked trunk, portawalls, hell yeah. Redo the console to something more in line with the rest of the interior, and paint it. With that continental kit, it NEEDS bubble skirts. Go full blown East Coast, like it came out of Frankie and Johnny's shop in the Northeast. East coast little book cover car. I dig it.

  24. I believe the commercial stated,,,,”Rich Corinthian Leather “,,,,,Ricardo Montalbon was cool .

That custom is cool as well,,,,,just take Moriaritys advice,,,,,he knows this stuff !

I don't know any history unfortunately, but I agree with those saying this looks like an older build that had some updates over time. I also think it has real potential. Glad to see others agree with me on that.

To me, the line of the hood opening across the front upsets the flow.

The rear of the car looks so familiar. Minus the murals. The front headlight trim looks to be 67-69 Cadillac. But I just can’t place the car.
