That's a 37 Chebby, 38 is lightly different. I'd love it however I've no room or budget at present.

  6. The funny part is that it’s advertised to have a vette engine and 4 speed.

they all do but this one could just be

Driver must have been built like a monkey, looks like a long reach for the shifter

Hi, do you know much about that black 38 Chevy? Does it have blue interior? Thanks, Uncle

That looks like a car my bro in law had and sold about 10 years ago. At the time it didn't have an engine but had mounts for a SBC. If it's it, it's really went down. I tried to buy it from him but he wanted too much for it back then.

The Albertville-Boaz area is a great spot to find old tin. That's where I found and got my Lincoln. At that time the guy I got my car from had several HAMB friendly vehicles for sale.

Be still my heart. I love 37 Chevy Coupe drag cars! Looks real solid and not a bad price. Be a steal at $7000ish especially if it's titled and the engine will turn over. For starters, I'd be tempted to get it running, go through it and drive it to work as is a few times w open headers, 49 Plymouth bumper and all.

Wow, that's a complete and solid looking car. I'd check driveshaft, brakes etc, see if everything's hooked up and actually drove. Coulda been a stalled project that never made it on the road.
Maybe the shorty shifter kept them from driving it :D

I ran across a 37 coupe a few years ago. Totally roached shell but owner says all the other sheetmetal is stored inside and all there. Had remnants of custom blue paint job with the name of the car painted on the quarters. Musta been a show car at one time. I need to stop back by there.

  15. Tow bar tabs on the front bumper. Sure sign of intended or actual past life. I like it.
