Cool cloudy Alberta day today and I ventured out with the risk of rain for the Garage Shots magazine charity car show in Support of Ronald McDonald house.
No rain just clouds and me and the RPU made it back into the garage nice and dry.

A nice blue 32 sedan that was also there.
Plenty of other cars but I don’t take a lot of pictures.

The season is getting shorter along with the days although we still get some nice days for a little longer yet.
Went out to another gathering and we managed to line up next to an original running 26 T roadster pickup.
An interesting contrast to our T bodied hot rods , my 26 and Dave’s 27.

As I was getting ready to leave for home the sky was starting to darken.
A good evening visiting with friends.

Trying to take advantage of every nice day available before the inevitable arrival of winter.

Hoping for a little Indian summer style fall weather with warm sunny days and crisp cool mornings and evenings.

Yesterday was really nice and I went to another A&W gathering for some food and fun.

Quite a few (lots) of nice cars some HAMB friendly some not but impressive even so.

One really nice Green Hudson custom that was on the show circuit for a while turned up, good to see it getting some road duty.
Sorry I neglected to take pictures of it.
This little A coupe really got me going, very nice.

Dark was approaching and my buddy Dave was heading home.

By the time I was ready to head home it was still warm enough to drive home in the dark in a T shirt.

Yesterday was a beautiful warm sunny fall day so I pulled out the RPU with a fresh coat ot Mothers carnuba wax and the wife and i went out for a little cruise around town for some fun.
I shot a little video walk around while it was warming up. No commentary but you have the Y Block to listen to :):D

So obviously pointing it out was pointless :D
Let’s get back to hot rods.
Go back and watch my video and before it snows drive your hot rod if you have one.

I know I’ll be driving mine.

This is one BEAUTY of a Hot Rod it has everything I would want, trips, dark Blue, and FORD powered.

The only thing I would do to it is finish the interior. :)

Thanks, that’s in the works for this winter.
It was planned for last winter however other improvements and the demands of life got in the way.

Thanksgiving has come and gone. We spent it planning my Father’s funeral which is tomorrow.
Dad was 89 and a career military man for the P.P.C.L.I. and later with the Airborne regiment.

I’m thankful for the years we had with him and the fact that I was able to get him out for a ride in my RPU last summer.
RIP dad we’re going to miss you.

Condolences brother. Dealing with the same thing with my Dad in hospital at the moment with a terminal illness. You have to appreciate the time you get no matter how much.

Hey Larry, sorry for your loss but on the positive side you had each other for a good long time. My dad passed when I was 21, just when I was coming out of my teenage "I know everything and you know nothing" time which I'm embarrassed by now and totally regret. Lost my father in law two years in February and I knew him almost twice as long. Tow great guys but they live on in the memories and skills each gave me so your dad will as well...
