VINTAGE SHOTS FROM DAYS GONE BY! (Part 2)

Funny that their 'Car Shows' in 1957 were showing off mostly their modern (50's) cars at the time. Our car shows in 2021 are showing off the same cars. This is the trend I see here in Wisconsin, lots of new cars with a big growth in 60's-80's muscle cars at the shows I've attended.

 

Thinking the higher Nitro percentage was a failed experiment.

 

Seemed to be doing just fine during the depression.

Or, someone forgot to torque the main caps down before the engine install....

 

Those damned Fiat engines just don't hold up!

 

I often said Nitro had two goals;
1) blow the heads completely off top of block.
2) Shove the crank out bottom of block.

It’s obvious here number 2 was achieved.
