I found where wire #120 on the fuse block goes to by scrutinizing my wiring diagram and then checking in the car, Horn relay. Success!

Have you thought about making an extension for the handle. It can be made at any angle from the existing handle as long as it moves the hand grip area further away from the pivot point.

A balmy sunny 59 F day so I’m out putting some kilometres on the RPU.

  4. I put about 90 miles on the big Chrysler convertible yesterday in about the same temperatures…with the top down of course.

DSC06940.JPG I came to the conclusion that it made no sense having running boards on a channeled A. It made it too hard to get in and out of the car. Decided to eliminate them. I made up a set of rocker panels that will resemble 32 frame rails and configured the fenders to fit. More to do before the lead work but the end result can be visualized. A bit different and seems to compliment the narrowed front fenders. This car is deceiving in the pics. I am 5'10" and the roof is at armpit height. If I decide to chop it will only be 2" and will be the last thing I do before paint. DSC06933.JPG

That's a good idea. I might try that. The last time I tried to use it, a friend lent me his professional tool which worked for me. I compared the two, side-by-side, and was puzzled by the reduced leverage geometry of the newer types.

Started out the day stressed about life, decided to drive the Fargo to work as some stress relief. Mission accomplished.

So great to finally meet you and check out your projects. I can't wait to put those brakes to work on the front of the roadster!

Primered my shoes. Got some on the car too. Then went to the annual church rummage sale, bought a dwell tach and a shift knob for $5. 20210916_170652.jpg 20210916_134120.jpg

Today I knocked out a quick EGR block off plate for my Falcon.

The previous one leaked a little.

Just a friendly reminder when you're disconnecting your 100' air hose use two hands and don't put your face over the air compressor.

  13. Finally got my speedo corrected to within 1 mph of what the GPS says. Next is to get the steering wheel centered to where the turn signal switch is happy

It's the little things that drive a man crazy.

I must have my wheel correct!

I need to do that. My ignition timing is controlled by non-traditional means.

My timing mark is almost always obscured by the water pump, nowhere near the tab.

I have and still use the same dwell/tach - bought it new in the late 1970s. Don’t have a shift knob like that one though. Good day for you.

Put a new transmission in the T truck last night (my little boy worked the jack- he's a good hand) and drove the hell out of it today.

Drove about an hour south to the only place I could find that had CO2/argon MIG gas in stock. Seems to be a shortage of gas now for some reason.

Since it was an evening trip through the cornfields, and it’s harvest time, I also killed a shitload of bugs. At times it looked like a Star Wars movie with the headlights reflecting off all the bugs.

Guess I’m washing the car tomorrow. Maybe I’ll also get back to the project I needed the MIG gas for.

How does it go ? " I get by with a little help from my friends " my push rods were to long , so after getting 5 different length ones from a couple buddies I ordered a set that will get me where I want to be on the valve tip ( I hope ) checked TDC . I gave the heads one more bath and set them in place only to find that the springs won't allow me on one bolt. So now to find a couple bolts to solve that issue. studebaker build 003.JPG studebaker build 007.JPG studebaker build 005.JPG

Went to a Picnic 800 of my closest hot rod friends and about 500 cars. Missed on the $2500 50/50. Photos don’t mean much it’s tough to get high enough. Tri-tip, beans, potato salad, & roll. 35AA2750-6349-473C-91C0-8D6032CD996B.jpeg 3FAFD964-4E6D-445D-AA89-6640C18DEA99.jpeg 5F3ABE95-E8A1-4C31-A343-356515CC8905.jpeg 4B1BDF39-FEF4-4C79-88AA-1F010C8621FC.jpeg

Rained nearly all day,so did what I had been putting off,now that I had the parts (new mount) just hanging around for a few weeks for my black 28A.
I worked in the shop ,replace my hot rods tranny tailshaft rubber mount.
I really should of turned on the shop AC,but low on $ and that it should not take long, stopped me from being smart.
It was hot as hell,so I opened the big door, nope wind n rain made that way to cool off shop the wrong thing.
Did get it done, after fooling around for 2 hr. on what should of been a 20 min. job. I had to take a shower after an a nap !
I don't take in my age on timing thinking,79YO ,I should though, but it go the other way to my head thinking I'm as good as I was @ 30 .
Pic from a better day. in shop 1.jpg
