We had to let a bunch go into a big hole in Oklahoma several years ago, mostly parts. We saved what we could. :(

1960 Studebaker Hawk... right hand drive
    upload_2021-9-17_6-2-20.png

    Hello,

My wife and I have enjoyed the streaming series called Jack Irish. It stars Guy Pearce and it gets intense in some scenes, but it a good series. It has 3 seasons and this 3rd season is the series finale.

The Studebaker gets introduces to the viewers and then, it gets totaled in the season series. So, after another year of the series, he gets another car for his adventures a Rover. Then when that one gets it accidental happening, he returns to the idea of another Studebaker Convertible in the 3rd season.

This one is a bit fancier and looks more luxurious.

The custom made convertible is based on a 1962 Gran Turismo Hawk.

The door script is unusual as it says Conestoga. The idea taken from a station wagon or referring back to a possible connection to the early pioneers driving their canvas covered Conestoga wagons back in the cowboy days.

We have enjoyed the series as it is a short yearly season of 4 episodes. So, it is like watching a 2 hour movie at each sitting. The characters are good, the scenes are intense and enjoyable. The Studebaker just adds some pizazz to the series.

  6. That car was built by a semi famous Australian customiser back in the day. I can never remember his name. He was not from hot rod circles.

  27. Nice truck. It needs lowered with chrome wheels, 50 Merc caps, and wide whites. Preferably big and littles.

Studebaker made some good looking hubcaps both full & small. You are right wheels & tires would really seethes pickup off.
