    Pine Tree Jamboree 2021

    20210820_081627.jpg

I had to borrow my buddy's from work '01 Suburban. I coordinated a site visit for my work in Saco Maine on the way over to the coast and up to Winterport Dragway. 20210820_114927.jpg

Met up @generalgow in Portland for lunch.

We took Route 1 coastal road up. Was pretty busy with traffic, but alot more scenic than I-95.

We got to the track around 5:30. I got teched in and made 3 passes. Coupe was running good.

20210820_184926.jpg I bring this world-famous artist to hand paint my race numbers on the coupe: 20210820_185316.jpg 20210820_185338.jpg

View from the north end of the pits:

So many great cars there. Bangers and V-8s.

They had recently swapped in a V-8. It ran really good.

It’s still wet. The bastard’s too cheap to spring for hardener. We sat and drank coffee and watched the paint sag in the mornings.

I think Jared @Angry Frenchman won quite a few races. He seemed to be the fastest street car there.

Last time I drove up Route 1 I was 23 and it still looks about the same. Won't say how long that was

This was an awesome event. If you have a flathead powered car and like smashing its gas pedal you need to be there next year. This thing is gonna get huge.

I took a bunch of film photos while i was up there, they're being developed right now, hopefully I'll have them back sometime next week.
It indeed was a good event, I'll definitely be going to the next one.
