Finally capped up the headers and ran it with the straight pipes! This thing is healthy....there’s definitely been some work done to it.....bought this engine on a whim over a decade ago with nothing to put it in.....for 400 bucks!!! Even a blind squirrel gets an acorn once in a while.....

Thanks Mike! I think I hit the jackpot when I picked this engine/trans combo up. Had a bunch of new components with a band new clutch, lightened flywheel adjustable tappets and bored .040” over.....by the sounds of it I’m thinking the p.o. put a cam in it too. Alot was milled off the heads as well.....I’m not out to pound the crap out of it.....but I WILL drive the wheels off it!

Yes Sir, If I was about 1500 miles closer, I would be begging for a ride. With exhaust like that, there is no need for a radio.

Nope! Music to my ears! Although, I will be adding music..... I’ve got a nice pair of computer speakers for the package tray that I’ll be wiring in. I’ve got hours and hours of music stored on an old tracfone.... I actually use the same setup in my garage with a couple woofers that kicks ass!

Thanks Devin! This old goat has learned a few things over the years....
My Father was my mentor, he was the catalyst for who I am today and this build is dedicated to him... I miss him tremendously and would love to spin him around the block when it’s done....just one more time. Thanks for taking the time!

Installed a different fuel pressure regulator, the last one just was just dumping fuel...hope this one cures it. I put one of these in my truck and it worked well.
Finally hung the deck lid. I’m surprised it wasn’t a casualty of just sitting around and working around it, I thought for sure I’d be reworking it!
It’s time for windows!! Got everything cut and door glass tinted....windshield installed in frame....I’ll be driving soon I hope! Hope everyone is having a great night!

Frigging mud dauber had one of my bowl vents plugged up....I saw gas coming out of the accelerator pump nozzles, I new it was "pressurizing" the bowl....with a clogged vent, the air had nowhere to go! led me right to it!....she's running a treat now! Finished the glass and changed the oil. Headed to the notary tomorrow...I'm guessing another week! I'll finish the interior once I get it home!

Thanks Aaron! I can't wait to drive it! Gotta pick up a wide 5 adapter so I can get the wheels balanced, I'll be putting some miles on it! Looks like I'll make it to the Wildwood, NJ show next month and TROG in October.....I'm psyched!!

No more gaping hole in my dashboard!! Finally installed the clock I picked up at Carlisle....I’m fairly certain I’ve got the temp gauge situation settled....R/S runs hotter than the left....they both match my laser thermometer .....high idle about 20 minutes..... I did install thermostats and it drastically improved the puke issue. Still need to make a puke tank though. Other than that, I think I’m good! Thanks for hangin’ everyone!!
