Think i Found another Phucking Dodge? @VANDENPLAS Dont think the lights are though.. Has mount for a bar from side to side. From the pics i was looking at thinking a 22 or 23? Any insight on the lights would be helpful though
Think it’s gonna need a tune up and some air in the tires before you take it for a cruise Ya don’t even have to ask anymore, I think any “found treasure” automatically transforms into a dodge
I'm going to say that there is enough there that you have the makings of a Dodge Modified roadster with a hood on it. Right down to not having to hunt for headlights, you just have to figure out how you are going to mount them.
dodge must of built a hell of a lot of cars since everyone that finds a hulk is a dodge. is that because they stood the test of time better than a ford?
Body is a late '22 or '23 as evidenced by the rounded cowl and windshield bottom and the round bottom doors with external handles. 1st year for all those things and last year for round bottom doors. Headlights and rad shell are not Dodge. Dodge went to those stamped door hinges in 1920. Before that they were forged skinny ones and the door broke out where they were attached. BTW, all the open car DB doors '27 and earlier have lift off hinges. Open the door and wiggle them a little and they lift up out of the pivot hole and come out. Dave Yeah, I blame my headaches on all the Dodge Brothers info stuck in my head!
1922 Dodge uses a windshield that is straight across the bottom I know this because I cloned the Outlaw and it uses a 22 Dodge windshield the first curved to match the cowl was in 23
I believe that weed growing in front is Spotted Spurge and that white rock next to it is either talc or uncut cocaine.
Well @Moriarity , you are almost correct. Early '22 has the flat bottom windshield and Late '22 is the same as '23. Then in '24 everything is changed except the basic DB design. The windshield got leaned back in 1920 also. Dave
Not many know early dodge like you do dave... dont happen to have any of those curved lower windshield frames do you?
