This weekend, the City of Atlantic Iowa had their local celebration which includes a car show on main street, not sure how many were there but the number I got was 205 and I wasn't the last one signed in. Here are a few of the cars that I think this group would be interested in. One car in particular was pointed out to me to be a car I had a number of years ago, a chopped 49 Ford. I sold it to a guy I've known for 50? years, he sold it to his brother and he in turn sold it to another brother's grandson who is maybe 30? It was flat black when I owned it but he shot it in a copper/orange color and I understand it was in the top 25 at KKOA this year. I wish I could take credit for the car but all of it is deserved by the young owner The 36 Pontiac was owned by a cousin in the early 60's, sold to a classmate, he sold and bought it back and restored it after he retired from farming. My 86 year old father in law came with me and had a great time.I hope one of my grand kids will do the same for me someday
Well sorta, that was my 86 year old father in law, he put a blower on his daily driver 53 Ford Flatty in the 50's and later when he bought a new 57 Ford (312, stick and OD) he put a blower and Hurst Syncroloc (sp) on it. The Hurst is now in the org box stored in his basement. I was glad we could do it together.
