Check your head light switch for the flashing. The halogens draw too much current for the built in circuit breaker unless you have already installed relays to power the lights.

 

Phenomenal job in less than a year! ... I hope to check it out at Kalamazoo in Sept. ...

 

Someone else suggested that, I think I’m going to replace the lights with non-halogen bulbs. Thanks.

Way back when I checked the amp draw of a single sealed beam headlight VS a halogen bulb (and a sealed beam style halogen reflector that replaced the sealed beam). They were very close to the same. However, even old sealed beams like a good flow path and relays, so people often added them.

The problem indeed turned out to be the dimmer switch. New one, new headlight bulbs, no problems.

 

• Well I was only a week off ,Brian....Relix Riot is THIS weekend....

 

I wondered where it was you were going to see it last weekend! It was being used though.

 

We’re going to the Relix Riot this weekend, and I was painfully aware that the polish job, while it looked good under (terrible) lighting in the shop, looked awful outside. I bought a very heavy duty variable speed random orbital 6” buffer, and got after it this afternoon. The results are excellent. It’s a good tool.

 

You have to always check your polish outside in the natural light,Ive had that happen lots too.Best to do one panel and back it outside to check it over,everything always looks good in the shop,kind of how the girls look in the bar at closing time,but wait till morning?.harvey

Thanks! Looking back, it was fun building it. Now I have all winter to get the gauges working, out a new bottom on my Chris Craft, paint the T’bird and finish the roadster. Easy!

Everything about the wagon, Diamond T, and trailer is top notch. I do wonder however about towing such a long trailer with the wagon. I know you purchased an engineered hitch that controls wander but it still seems to me that the trailer might might want to push the wagon around in some situations. But then again this isn't your first rodeo so this all be much about nothing. Again really like what you've done to the wagon.

 

Traditional! Ahem, er, cough. Cough…

 

Well, I think I know WHY the radio didn’t seem to link to my phone (that’s a traditional problem, isn’t it it?). It lights up, and it says it’s playing music, but nothing comes out. I think the plug for the speakers has jiggled out of the back of the radio. Now, getting to it will be the challenge.

Mystery solved. A speaker wire in one of the rear speakers was intermittently grounding against the inner body. That tiny current must have been enough to disrupt the entire electrical system, causing all kinds of weird issues. Seems alright now, and the RetroSound system rattles the windows.
