Only a couple more circuits left to run! Gotta run the fuel pump through one of my relays, fuel gauge, temp sensors and horn. I think that covers it for now. I’ll have 2 more relays left for fog lamps and one spare if there’s something else I want to install....Thanks everyone for the support!

 

Now, I'd really like to ride "shotgun" on the first trip around the block. Maybe at least a little short video for the first run coming up? Nice work Sir.

 

Thanks Mike! There will absolutely be video.....still have a bunch to do....plumb the fuel system and secure the tank, all the windows, secure the floors, install the rear firewall/bulkhead, bleed the brakes, fill the diff and trans, change the oil etc.....still a few weeks away.

My boss keeps bringing in this stainless from the scrap pile of some fabrication place....so I threw together these nifty tank straps! Happy weekend everyone!!

Thanks fellas! Felt like I was just spinning my wheels tonight....got nothing done basically. New master cylinder I bought a while back went bad from sitting around with fluid in it....I know, I shoulda waited until I was ready to bench bleed it.
My carb banjo fittings haven't moved from the USPS facility in Philly for DAYS!.....and that usually means it's been lost there and has gone there to die.... so I'm effed on that for now. Just a really frustrating day! Thanks for stoppin' by.....

By the way Mike.....I don't like needle point.....

 

How/why did it go bad from brake fluid in it ?

 

Brake fluid is a sponge for moisture....without it being completely sealed....it rusted. When I went to bleed....the fluid was all brown. When you keep getting air after you think you got it all and the pedal goes away....time for a new one....

 

Got my linkage squared away. Modified the primary carb linkage for more leverage and a cable/rod setup, whichever my final decision is....still waiting on my banjo fitting kit so I threw on a little bit of bling....have a great night everyone!

 

I'm with you... I know your feeling. 23 months...thru the pandemic...3733 hours huddled around the ARDUN 32....out the door last October.... almost 3000 miles later, drive the crap out of it....it's just a Timex.
You my friend have done a great job...as well as teaching/sharing the trials and tribulations of building.
