Thank you I have Kyle Marshall’s 57. You sent me a picture of one if the Snyder boys standing between his fathers Chevelle and Kyle’s 57. I have never seen this picture before. I do have a picture of it with these steel slots on the rear that a guy gave me. He said he remembers it being at Indy in 1970.
With Stahl stickers too, maybe raceway park look at the sign next to the NHRA one on the crosswalk. And one sponsor Scarpo's is out of Hamden Ct
LB I could not read the Hamden CT but you are right on that. It is not Englishtown they never had a crosswalk. I think Indy did though. Pat
That's Indy and Joe was a Div. 1 racer from Connecticut that we lost way too soon. He was a nice guy and his cars always ran good.
The picture of the "Nugget" is from Lions, an AHRA strip at the time. The 57 has a roll bar so it's a modified, not a Junior stocker, but a cool car, non the less.
Here is the decal from L&0 Speed Shop from years ago. There were so many old speed shops that are no longer in business but played a major role in drag racing history, and I always thought that just seeing the old decal would bring back some wonderful memories for many of us. Jimbo
I remember a 1962 Chevrolet named "The Northwind" running at Dover Drag Strip, but if my member is correct it was driven by the late Al Hoffman. Maybe there were more cars using the same name. Jimbo
There are photos of it in here and a bunch of back and forth about it and owners/drivers https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...northwind&t=post&o=relevance&c[thread]=201085
