Went on a 370 mile test ride today. Saw this from the restaurant window.


Used car row from the Dodge dealer in Safford, AZ. Details don't show in this picture - that is a 41 Ford. We thought it unusual to have 5 "collector" cars on the row - Averages about 52% HAMB friendly...

It was almost 100 Degrees, so we did not look closer (and none of the cars "spoke" to us...).

Saw this wagon while I was on a roof fixing a customers a/c unit

 

Followed this for a few miles today, down a windy road everyone speeds on. I was expecting a big swaying boat but it wasn't, he was on that Mini Cooper the whole way, pretty cool.

 

Friend of mine just brought this home. 401 engine purs like a kitten.

 

Saw these when driving through town to the store. Appears they are filming a movie in town again. According to an RV parked nearby...it may be called “Reagan” to debut next year.

 

The movie, "Reagan" stars Dennis Quaid, Penelope Ann Miller, and Mena Suvari among others.

 

Yep, Dennis Quaid’s pic was real big on the rv too. Checked with a good friend this evening, and 3 of the T’s are his. That gig pays pretty decent too! I need them to get to the early 60’s!

 

Seems like a perfect chance to photograph each car individually. I try to
take advantage of situations involving cars.

Bell Telephone Systems service body - it still has the original door handles. My 1952 bed was in a lot worse shape. The door in the upper-left corner of the body holds the spare tire.


The tire sits on the drawer - grab the 2 silver tabs and pull the drawer and tire out.

Cool shots. Were you there?

 

Thanks. That is one of my favorite shows of the year. I work it every year in the morning then attend the rest of the day. Always great, lots of muscle cars too that I didn’t post due to post 65.

 

Went and looked at this tonight. Definitely been a rod for a while, with a little back dating, could be cool again. But a little out of my price range right now.

Daddy will be 90 in September. He still loves riding in the Hot Rod. I took him with me to church today.

 

Man, for being almost 90 your dad looks great!

 

It's a safe bet to say my wife dislikes it when I see a kool ride on the road.
She knows that she's about to kiss another 20-30 minutes of her life goodbye
as I turn around, follow and stop to talk to the owner. This is the perfect
case. I saw this Chevy coming at me so I was prepared to follow him and
hope he stops for some reason. It was a righteous day so the owner decided
to take a ride in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. It really
is as nice in person as it is in the pic. By the way, I'd say 99 out of a hundred
people like talking about their car when we've stopped.
