  2. Nice sound Jeff. I can’t wait to fire up my Y block in my 57. Albeit not as fast or as loud as yours, I will still be stoked!

Just wait until those three deuces start doing deep breathing exercises, that'll make your nipple rock hard!

Very tidy and original looking, nice touch with the vintage style Motorcraft battery.

  7. If it were really vintage, it would say Autolite... ;)

Autolite never became a Ford brand until 1961, an experienced Ford partsman guessed its O.E would have been Presolite.

Jeff, did you run out of Robertsons?

Are you going to do some kind of turnout to aim it out from under the car?
    I was just curious.

My guess would be that when the car reaches speeds that Jeff likes, the exhaust disperses pretty damn quickly.;)

    Correct Dan!
I just like the look of a early hot rod roadster with straight pipes under the rails..... and I like a long scavenger pipe look as well.(Not sure if that is the right term.....but whatever)
Rich Simmons built the exhaust system and is noted around these parts for doing excellent work.He asked if I wanted the scavengers to be turned down or out....No. I said.... makes to much of a mess on rural roads.....They stop about 7-8 inches from the rear shocks.....And all noise is behind me.
The mufflers are Xlerators, all stainless, and provide a mellow rumble on idle.... I used the XS1236 on the attachment shown.I never heard of these before..... but the cost was great.... I strayed away from a glass pack only because they were cheaper and available at the moment.I did have a set of Cherry Bombs in my truck.... but the bodies were 20 inch long and a total length of 24.... with only a 2 inch in and outlet....I decided to pass.
The system is all welded and super tight.... and there is no profile view of exhaust hanging below the frame.(hate that)The whole system is very symmetrical. 2.50 all the way,... and after some research..... that is the very least size for an FE to breath.
Streetwise,... probably a hill of beans.... But Lucas Doolan would argue that with me.

Anyhow... I am happy.... and now the car finally is heading to the paint shop this Friday.
    Thanks all.

Nice job on the exhaust. Are running those Fenton cast headers?

I have never seen dual duals. You have built a heck of a car. Best of luck getting it back from the paint pirates.
