Pulled this 1933 Dodge DP series 5-window coupe out of long term storage last weekend . The 85 year old owner and his wife finally decided to let it go. The car was originally his great aunts car. it is very original, very solid and also very well equipped. cleaning it up now and getting it off the four flat tires. From NE Iowa now in central Iowa. 33 dodges.jpg

First clean it up and then find it a new home.

Wow that's solid. Nice purchase. You even have 2 days to get it ready for cruising the fairgrounds this weekend!

I want a 33 Dodge Coupe so bad. I'm very envious.
I'd immediately sell my '53 Chrysler and install my 440 and 6x2 and 4 speed in this instead.
    And never look back.

  13. Unlike the same year of Ford, they don't have the aftermarket support the Ford does, so finding it complete is a real bonus.
Comparing it to the same year Ford, has that similar swooping grille, but unlike the Ford, chances are you'd have the only one at the show.
Very desirable coupe..I'd have a hard time selling that one.

Go gentle...there might be some surprisingly decent paint under all the grime!

Great find and they look chopped from the factory. Once you clean it up you may want to keep it!

  19. You might be surprised. I was. We had several customers build these and there is way more available than a guy thinks.

Sorry for the delay in response, can only log in with the home computer. I have known the owners for over 30 years and if I was not building a house right now this would be going right in my garage to stay. I am helping them find it a new home. It is unbelievably solid and complete original. The only part I see missing so far is the little trim piece that covers the bumper bolt on the left front (the other three are there.) It will not sell cheap when it goes as I want to get them the most I can get for it. Getting it cleaned up soon and will post more photos. Even my wife loves the style, it is a beautiful body.

The grill shells on these are sort of like the top portion from a '32 Ford and the bottom from a '33.
    Man...
