A particularly good article by Pat Ganahl on a High School Car show in the Pasadena area in the late '50's, the photos were taken by and old Car Club friend (of his and mine, as we were all in the same Car Club) Tom Connors : so astonishing now to see the over all top quality of cars then, enjoy just click the link: https://patganahl.com/2021/06/28/58-high-school-show/

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Ray Haroun- Driver, Winner 1st Indianapolis 500. It's in white and almost unreadable under the car.
If he had been in an Impala or a Cadillac, he would have survived so the Corvair was a factor. It was also very rainy. Your projection of "probably drunk" is unfounded. I remember the newpaper photo of the crash and being saddened even as a teenager at his loss. I always watched his TV show and thought he and Edie were great.
Ralph Nader is that you? You don't know that. You pretend like you know, but you don't. Not a Ford or a Mercury or a even a Buick? All you know is it was a Corvair and you hate Corvairs...Therefor it had to be the Corvair that killed him. You remember a clipping, you watched his show, you were saddened, you thought he was great... WTF cares? What does any of that emotional crap have to do with the accident?
