Just wasted a bit of money due to a mistake. This caution was even mentioned in the directions that come with LED tail lights but who reads directions ?? I bench tested them before actually installing them in the Model A with a 12 volt battery & jumper wires on the workbench . Well there are 3 different color wires that come out of each light. Well I crossed the wrong wires and damaged the light for good / unreturnable... Be careful even on what seems to be a very easy job... Gene

Ya, we don't need no stinking instructions! :)

Most LED's just wont work if wired backwards. But I've seen numerous that didn't come with instructions to indicate which wire is which? So I also test them first to check what's ground, and which wires are for brake and running lights.
I've been lucky so far that no issues burning any out.

I never had that problem with an incandescent light bulb. I guess I'll just stick to them.

Curious what the three wires are for? I can see hot and ground, but the third?

Two hot wires for the tail lights. Running lights and brake lights.

They say you learn from your mistakes. I should have been a genius by now.

So the tail light and brake light is in the same unit I suppose? I just assumed a separate unit. Must be a high tech 1157?
