Just picked up this original chassis and want to add the industrial chassis legs. Will they clear the master cylinder? Thanks
I struggled to find any useful info on their website , were they originally made in the UK by the pinstriper ? I can’t remember exactly .

I know nothing about the chassis legs you're talking about, but based on your first photo, and the photo of a pair being installed in post #4, I'd say they'll run right through your current master cylinder location. It appears your string that's in the photo confirmed that? Lynn
I wonder how the master cylinder is located with the legs. It does look like it might hit. Or maybe I could open the holes up where the master hits?
You are thinking of Industrial Chassis in Arizona. I have the industrial chassis legs for my chassis they do not clear a dual master cylinder even using his pedal setup. They are also 1/2 short from the bolts lining up on the rails in front of the rear tires Not impressed
I take it that the "legs" are to triangulate the chassis so it's less of a wet noodle. (?) .......and relocating the M/C is out of the question. (?) Maybe shortening the legs and/or tweaking the angle to reposition where they mount is a possibility. I'd mockup with a couple of 2x6's first before hacking the legs though.
Yes, the legs are to add some strength. I don’t have them. It looks like I should fab my own or run as is. Plan is for a 283 to the stock driveline.
Maybe you could add another cross member, parallel but a couple inches ahead of your strap but aft of the MC? Shorten the legs and bolt up as shown just further back.?
Phoenix hot rods and Industrial chassis are a combined effort now. They merged and moved into one larger building in Tempe last year. Industrial Chassis Inc. – Hot Rods and Customs Fabrication Phoenix Hot Rods may be doing some of Steve's marketing in the process.
First I have heard of anyone having an issue like this. Been producing these without complaint for years, even some great testimonials about how these accessory "legs" made their original cars feel more solid and almost eliminate the "roadster pinch" for open cars. The pedal set was redesigned after the R&C article came out to accommodate the dual masters.
Correct! The deal was made last January, and because of the insanity of last year we have been slow to get our product back online. I still own IC and operate within www.phoenixhotrods.com as a house brand product. I still own and operate www.industrialchassisinc.com and have a forum there called Bench Racing if you care to discuss any of this further. I don't want to be accused of benefiting from the HAMB unjustly. .
The legs and pedal setup was one of the last sets you made before you stopped making them (the receipt date is 2/26/2018)so they should be the redesigned ones but the master cyl still doesn,t fit
If you email me pictures of your situation at [email protected] I may be able to help you with the solution. Just saying "it doesn't fit" doesn't really clarify what the situation is.
Here is a shot of my frame that Elpolack helped me with. You can get the legs straight if you have a flat floor or you can get the legs with a drop in them for a stock floor. My center cross member is one that he produces as well.
Must say Steve nice to see you your offer, I have heard of a lot of places just do not want to know when you start asking if it will. or will not fit with no offer of help.
