Folks Of Interest Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green Who is Going?

hopefully we will be in the campground by lunch tomorrow setting up the tents and all of the other crap.

 

Well i just drove to o'Reilly's in the next town over, bout 20 miles away, and when i got off the interstate, the oil pressure dropped to about 2lbs holding around 25lbs driving. Got back to the shop and pulled in and the gauge dropped again and the lifters started going wild. I've got a 283 sitting here that isn't assembled, now what am i gonna do.

 

what's the oil look like?

 

Normal, no glitter. Filter is full of what looks like moly lube. Gonna try that before i pull the pan

 

Changed the oil and filter, fired it up and jumped to 50lbs, I'll run it some and change it again tmrw.

I'll be there tomorrow.Hopefully on the corner again ,maybe a few feet off the road. Won't be the usual white el Camino this time.Look for red and white elky. everyone have safe travels.

 

I'll be there, hopefully in my car. Last thing i wanna do is have to drive my late model. Headed to the machine shop first thing in the morning to clean the oil pan and pickup, grab a new oil pump and gasket, and bust ass to get it together.

 

Lloyd, if they have a one piece pan gasket that fits your engine get it. Whole lot easier to install laying on your back.

 

He told me that's what he has on the shelf.

We are in the campground as well. We are behind one of the buildings. I have all of the flaps partially open on my tent and the fan blowing and I am kicked back on my cot

 

I brought 7 totes of old Hotrod, CarCrafts, and Popular Hot Rodding from the 50s they the 70s. There are also a few old Super Stock and Stock Car from the 60s and 70s. They would like to go home with you guys.
