With my limited abilities I have not been able to figure out the lettering on the hood. Does anyone know what it says?

Doug some members of the NCRS may not like the car but some may be able to stomach it. It is a drag car of course and drag cars have some history with some pretty wicked paint schemes. I really like it and would love to own it. One time I painted a C3 in five colors for a guy that wanted me to paint it to match his airplane which of course was five colors. I also had to do the interior in leather in the same five colors. I really did not like his choice of colors but the plane was already painted so I had to match it. The masking I had to do was incredible but not near as much as this solid axle car. That kind of paint work is art IMO and I appreciate all of the hard work. I think it is really cool. Surprisingly I have met some solid axle guys that I would have thought were die hard stock guys and they surprised me. Then again I have memories of some NCRS guys that were let's say were a tad short sighted when it came to changes to the early Vettes. We all know that we could go on at length with stories but some guys are OK.

I also believed the hood said 250hp. I have a file on that car but apparently I filed it under some incredibly intelligent file name and for the life of me my intelligence has not caught up with me. One day when I am not looking for that file I will find it for sure.

I like the adaptation of the front license plate bracket. If the rules say a particular part has to be on the car in competition, make sure that it's serving a purpose and not just riding along. Nothing rides for free!

I have belonged to NCRS for 41 years and nothing on this forum upsets me. I love them all.
Wouldn’t it be a bitch if we all liked the same thing.

    As do I Dave.
Well, the first couple years of Corvettes never thrilled me, at least in stock form.

  11. Same here and a Museum member since the early 90's. I've never owned an "NCRS" car, all have been/are hot rods. The NCRS has a "Sportsman" category that every car in this thread could participate in.

If any of you guys bringing your Corvettes to Bowling Green for the Hotrod Reunion I would like to get a group photo. Let me know.
