Thanks for posting, I have been to a couple of these events, 100% memorable. last time I went was in 2014 or 16 foggy memory. When did the Christmas tree get put in ??????? the ones I attended were a flag start.
@roseville carl...Thanks for sharing the festivities of the fun at this iconic raceway...it certainly was a fantastic day for it...
Yea thanks guys its the most fun ya can have with your clothes on. All those who volunteer their weekend so us ol folks can relive our youth are angels!!!! And Rocky is the salt of this earth, what a kool person and vision he had all them years ago................
Thanks for posting all of the pictures. Remember when I lived in CA and attended the first Eagle Field drags when they started back up. Flag start and no timing or speed results. Just running for fun. Looks like it has become a much more official event. But nice to see it still has a lot of the old cars. Sent from my SM-G950U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
yes to say it has grown since 09 would be an understatement, but it is still grass roots racing put on by racers for racers
I cleaned this up, the cut off is 1965, there were a ton of late novas, camaros, vegas and even an S10....
It’s not a pre-66 event, my buddy crews on a 1st gen Fbody there. He told me about what each day was etc, but I don’t recall all the details. Maybe @roseville carl can explain it ?
Here is a link to rules https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=5650857741653835&set=pcb.778850409724143 things have changed quite a bit this year as most of it has been bracket style racing in the different classes to make things go smoother, really works for us in the Flathead 6Cyl Clash as the cars vary a great deal in speeds and allows everyone a fair chance at the trophy. As for the other guys ya have to talk to them if it ain't Flathead related I'm a mess......
I can go to any strip in the country and see that stuff run. No thanks. Too bad they did not keep it a traditional setup.
