While all cars can vary of course, the t seems tk especially so, for me anyway. So there's some I love, and others not so much.

A guy that lived next to my dad in Toledo bitd had a real beauty. I drew my dad a picture of it when I was a little kid. I'll see if the picture is still at my folks...

I posted a series of close up photos of that T back on page 3 of this thread. IMO it's still the best T posted so far.

Looks like Don "the snake" Prudhomme bent over talking to Norm. That makes this photo a Trifecta!

  8. I too have always been a big fan of the "T". I watched 77 Sunset Strip every week hoping to see Norm's. Not practical but one hell of a lot of fun! My old '26... 1926Ford003.jpg 1926Ford004-1.jpg 1926Ford005.jpg T-Bucket009.jpg

They're so light and fast, if they've got any motor at all.
I was watching all the cars leaving a local show years ago. They could only turn right onto the multi-lane road separated by a median. They were met by a traffic light no more than 50yds down the road.
A T-Bucket with big back tires and a blown engine pulled out and nailed it. The acceleration was awesome... I think maybe even more so than the driver expected. He came roaring by me... and almost didn't get it stopped in time. He came SO close to rear-ending the other cars sitting at the red light.
It was the first time I realized just how fast a T-Bucket can be.

Of all the T-buckets out there, I'm a huge fan of Norm's "Kookie Kar." I especially like that he drove it hard, taking it on trips as far as Yosemite. I took this shot from the top of Roy Brizio's fire escape while working on the judge's book for the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Even though it looks like a model, it runs and drives.

Not 100% period correct. But I did knock the pastel graphics and 20 inch wide tires off from it in my rebuild.

Looks like he needs to shorten that steering shaft a little...

The cool "T" in your photo was Sam Walderman, the power was a Ford Thunderbird "Y",same as I had in my own Bobtailed "A" bucket,Sam had 3x2 on it at one time,an the 6x2 he didn't have much luck with. We talked about "Y" intakes, being we both played with def carb combos on "Y-blocks"
I only ever talk with him at shows we both had a car in around southeast Florida,I lived in Coconut Grove, south of Miami.

Three outstanding early examples. Can’t think of any/many that look slicker...but there are hundreds/thousands that missed the mark just a little/or a lot!

I never saw that driving, always parked somewhere -- the 6 carb setup was impressive! -- I remember there was a welded aluminum tank that fit into the bed...............

Also -- these drive-in shots rule. First one is at the iconic Leon's Frozen Custard, south side of Milwaukee.
