My Dad's car club has a car show every September and I was really hoping to have this thing for that show but there was a lot to do to have this ready and there was no way that was gonna happen.

Talk about a white knuckle trip. 117 mile trip with this thing behind my truck. I bet I drove 60 miles an hour the whole way back. Uneventful but talk about being puckered.

You're a fortunate man to have the help you needed. From the photos, it
appears to be coming along really well. Uh, I see you went with the Cragars
    (great choice)...and whitewalls.

I did go Cragars...and the skinny whites. Mostly cause I do what I want. I have plans for a second set of shoes. I’ll run body color steel wheels with COPO caps for general running around. I guess the Cragars will be my going out shoes.

Hard to catch but in the video (that works fine) it looks like you have louvers in the inner fender panels. Are they louvered?

Yup. Inner fenders are louvered. I had a local guy punch a few in their. Functional looks I suppose

That's looking great! You early Nova guys are pretty lucky to bolt in a big block without hacking up the floor and firewall. I haven't been so lucky with the 460 in my straight axle '61 Falcon.

Took it out for the first time yesterday. Registration finally showed up in the mail. Insurance all in place. Still needs an alignment and I'll take it to the alignment shop on Friday. I gotta say it was pretty cool to finally pull out of the garage and just drive through the neighborhood. Kids are excited and so am I.

  10. Steelies and poverty caps on a refrigerator-white Chevy II is about as good of a Sleeper as you can get. Very nice looking ride.

The caps in your first photo are 69 models, second photo shows 67 caps, in my opinion the 63 Biscayne caps look better on early Novas/ChevyII's, they were also used on the base 66 Novas.

They look great on first gen cars.

Some are accented in black and some are silver.

The bad thing about these caps is they have gotten pretty expensive for nice ones.
