The car is going to the Jalopyrama tomorrow. The interior os mostly done and there's a few more details that need to be finished. But she's looking good

  14. Well I don't know how I missed this one,( i have been away from the HAMB for a bit ) but just read through the thread and I gotta say - what a stellar save. Your friend is very lucky to have you in his corner. At first my heart sank when I saw the pictures, unbelievable. Then I thought if you were doing it for yourself, and you only have to pay for materials and you've got the skills - go for it. Then when it said it was for a customer - I thought cut your losses, find another body.....But .....Clark hats off to you - you've helped a mate, saved a 32 from the crusher and entertained the masses with your skill and determination !!

Hey Clark I've just went through the whole thread again and perhaps I missed something but what was the previous "crapsman" trying fix with his abominational "work"?

  17. Just saw the car in person at the Jalopyrama and it is even nicer than the pictures. Great job, Clark.

Dont think i put a pic of the taillight stands. Billy wanted Chevy taillights and i made the stands. This was after they were plated.

You picked a great background, car looks like it came out of the pages of a 1958 magazine. See you at Hershey! Bob

I just revisited this thread. Awesome result from a rough beginning. Is that a factory color or custom mix?

Thanks for digging it up, I'd missed the last few pages of it.
It's nice to see that the car has "thee look" from one end to the other too.

What an amazing transformation, the car is beautiful! I love peeking in at the skillset displayed by talented metal shapers. I am at the stage where I am a crappy welder but a pretty good grinder (but I'm trying). It's great that you helped your friend out this way.
