Oh heck yes. For three months I’ve been putting off buying bearings and head gaskets to get my kids engine back together. Last night at work I put them in my “cart” at Summit. Now I need to spend another 25 bucks or so on something to get the free shipping.
Hope to get to that this week;)

I use this one regularly, "Today I'm going to think about what I'm going to do tomorrow."

imagine that there are plenty here that will put off responding until they finish doing what they were supposed to be doing, whatever that was - or, others put off doing what had to be done to read this - one thing that I learned in school was to put off studying, doing reports, etc because I work best under self imposed pressure

I am not a procrastinator, although I am now living in my car because I put off paying my taxes.

I've always tried to do things ahead of time, but just depends on how long I think it will take to do them, and whether I consider it "not much work" to do it. Sometimes my procrastination has cost me in time when I began addressing things, and realized they'd take longer than planned. But I try to allow for worse case scenarios also when I'm putting things off.

How come when you procrastinate over shifting the gearbox off the shed floor for months, the day you kick your shin tripping over it the pain is immediate?

Yes but I can rationalize it! I have too many damned cars! And other non car projects as well. Maybe that's another topic, do you take on too much stuff?

On the other hand, sometimes it is just because I have to get one of these:

I'm a past president of the Procrastinator's Club. They're going to throw me out for non-payment of dues, just as soon as they get around to it.

Having to deal with all this covid carp it's been easy for me to put off doing maintenance on my cars, but now that it's warming up I have actually been catching up on the backlogged projects.:)

Packing a lunch “damn, we can get something to eat on the way”. Filling the tank. “Well, will cost more in xxxz but will save time”.
Oh, don’t put off adding the oil or the drain plug;)
