I've posted pictures of the model before, but the light today was good and I wanted to try out a piece of orange card for a photo background. I'm happy with the result...

I've read from other modelers, a great way to "unglue" parts is to place then in the kitchen freezer, they might easily snap apart later with a bit of gentle prying.

Hello guys, another brass FED here.
This one is all about finishing the project that I abandoned last November.
Chassis is finished, meantime though, a 426 motor was added, the motor dump was lessened to 4°, and above all the decision to make this car a full body build.
So, scale 175" brass chassis, with brass sheet full body in progress....

I didn't, I used multiple coats of Tamiya Bright Red over a white Tamiya Primier and then I compounded and polished it.

I'm working on an AMT/Lindberg '34 Ford pickup wheelstander as if it had been built in the early '60s. The yellow lines indicate a faux pickup bed for the battery, fuel tank, etc.

@mchook, doing that model must have been a lot of fun, it sure looks convincing. Amazing work, very well done. For sure one of those times when you ask yourself, "how does he do it"? Well, talent would be the first answer.

Those are some really creative builds, that’s an interesting collection. The coolest one is the car carrier that duplicates Norman Holtkamp’s custom truck based on a ‘59 El Camino. Holtkamp sourced the El Camino cab from the Van Nuys assembly plant.
