Started to cut and fit the carpet. I went to Lowes and bought some gray indoor outdoor light weight carpet. No sense buying stock replacement carpet when it wouldn't fit anyway.
Got enough for the whole car for less than 40 bucks.

The t shirts are ordered and when they come in the printer will run them off. We will have them in hand before the first of May. I ordered 4 xxxl shirts so my larger friends can enjoy the new shirts.
I had to order a 2 T for our 7 month old great grandson who is already showing an interest in cars and trucks. Wonder where that came from?

Getting the carpet installed. Trying to decide whether cover my tranny tunnel or just leave it painted metal.. It is removable and cutting out around all of the fasteners would be a pain. 20210409_170345.jpeg

Carpet looks good. Just curious, is carpet a requirement for SEGA or ?

Didn't get to test again this week . Lying ass weather men. I wish I could be wrong as much as they are and still keep a job. Oh well it gave me a chance to do some more carpeting on the car.

Packed the wheel bearings on my trailer today and test ran my generator. Going to get race fuel this afternoon after Cathy gets off work.
Getting pumped up for the weekend at Shady side dragway this weekend. If any of you are in the area come on out and see some great nostalgia racing . They usually have a small car show too.
Stop by the pits and say hi. Sorry about not having our shirts ready, but we are at the mercy of the company doing the printing.
We are going to leave a day early so we can meet up with our son and get a round of golf in Thursday afternoon.

Forgot to post the rest of the carpet pictures.
Only had one good picture. You can see where I had to put velcro on the carpet so I can get the tunnel out if I need to. 20210412_133609.jpeg

Come on down and see for yourself. Then you can laugh.
I will try and post updates all weekend.
Started cutting and buffing the car. I need about 4 more sets of hands . I worked about 2 hours and got one 1/4 panel. I will never get the whole car done before we leave on Thursday.
I have to work at the golf course tomorrow. Hope it rains. 20210413_192330.jpeg

  17. Hi Mike,

Good meeting you at SEGA Emerald Coast Dragway.

I liked story you told me, Ray (B/Gas Busting Loose), and Rick C. (SS/63) about how you chose Lloyd to paint your School’s Out! wagon.

    So, here’s a few photos from the race for y’all. RF1_9654_03202021.jpg RF1_9657_03202021.jpg RF1_9659_03202021.jpg RF2_5719_03202021.jpg

  18. Hard to get it hooked up with all 4 off the ground! Nice wagon.

Maybe you could use Lloyd's @Lloyd's paint & glass "portliness" in the back of the wagon for a little more traction:p

It does fly! But it'd be quicker if them back one were on the ground driving!

The rear half of the rear springs are bending so bad in that picture was causing that issue. I lowered the air pressure and took my spring clamps from the front of the springs and clamped them on the rear of the leafs.
since my new Calvert springs got here last night and we are leaving this morning I have reinstalled my pinion snubber and relocated my shocks to be straight up and down. I have also added some more clamps to the rear of springs and to the front. I hope it hold the car from hopping like that until I can get my new springs installed as soon as we get home.

I saw the late Phil Bonner and his Falcon match racing Malcom Durham and his Chevelle at Dover Dragstrip around 64 and Bonner's Falcon did the same thing. I couldn't believe it. Now I know why the car was called "the Frog". What timing the photographer had for that picture Mike.

Mercy. Can you tell when you’re in the air like that? Or are you focused on the drive?

LMAO. Pic makes it look like it's gently floating along...but I imagine that much wheel hop is probably rattling the teeth out of his head.

That "Flyer" is one hell of a shot. Did you manually catch it or were you shooting multiple images on auto?
