I’m hearing the April 2021 Jefferson Swap Meet is limited to 1/3 of normal vendors, due to Government rules...hope this isn’t true...anyone know?

I saw a flier a couple months ago that stated the swap spaces were already full, but offered a contact number.

The spring show is often pretty full, if they have to have reduced the available number of swap spaces for this year like some have said, I wouldn't doubt they are at capacity and have a pretty long waiting list for this spring.

I was at a privately held swap in Rockford last weekend, the place was crazy with people, lots of people caring stuff out. I sold off more junk then I have in years there. People are ready to buy! Gene

I would have gone to the one in Rockford. I didn’t know anything about it.

Almost nothing there was HAMB friendly. Mostly performance era Mopars with a few early 60s stuff. The guy usually has an indoor swap meet in the spring and fall (5th year I think), but roomer has it he is moving out of state, the fall one might not happen. Gene

I am looking forward to the swap meet. I know there are quite a few HAMB'ers in the White Field. I will be next to @ahshoe

Hope to see everyone this weekend.

I'm hoping the big bars are still there. Last I heard they were trying to retire as the 2019 season ended. 2020 might have been enough to end it for them.

I'll be there friday. I'm looking for a small block mopar intake that builds power to 8000 rpms if anyone sees one let me know. Hambers post your spots so I know where to get a beer from.

That is a relief! I was afraid they were no more.
I know the first stop once inside the gate, Big Bar for breakfast! Well, not really breakfast, more of an after breakfast desert.

Does that mean I have to have two of them on Sat? One for the one I missed last year and one for this year?

I can do one right after we get there, and a second one just before we leave..... It would be tough, but I think I can do it for the crew. LOL! Gene

I didn't send my money in last spring because I figured it would get canceled. then this spring the County and the health department told Gary he had to limit attendance and only the vendors who prepaid last spring could come. Thats why the flyers this spring said it was full at 70%. Garys hands where tied and even though I have been swapping every spring and fall since 1992 I understand . So I sent him my money for fall and my spots wx105 to 109 will be empty this spring. I heard they decide to let him open some more space , but I didn't put in for Friday off. So I am planning to drive the Marauder down on Saturday and put it in the car show and shop for some more HAMB and Fall Out Drags friendly wheels and put the torqe trust back on the Dark Horse { My off topic 67 Mustang} . And I will have to have at least two Big Bars to make up for Friday lol . Larry 20200613_163247.jpg

I've had spaces (as many as 12) since the early 80's. Gary called and said our spots will not be available this spring. I will not be going there ever again.

  27. A few things I bought today. Guys might complain about all the good parts being gone. If you look they are there. The dual quad carbs never had gas in them 450 cfm. The alternator bracket is vette only. Perfect for my 427/435hp engine. The crank pulls is the deep groove correct for the 427. The center divider is rounded. The repos are square. The ac vent is original. Perfect for my bbc eelco covers. The hurst boot hasn't been made in years. The chrome is good and the red plastic is bright. This is what I remember screwing into the floor. The tires are nice and soft with alot of tread. These were all the rage in the 70s and 80s. I had a set of skinny on the front of my car and never got them for the rear until today. Its only been 37 years but I got them. I'm going hard core day two. 20210423_151812.jpg 20210423_151827.jpg 20210423_151847.jpg 20210423_152728.jpg 20210423_153515.jpg

I spent my Friday at Spring Jefferson. I snapped a few photos throughout the day. As usual I was on the hunt for vintage gauges and gauge panels.
