that is such a great picture. At 17 I drove a 63 Impala convertible, and I have that same shot you have from prom night

Black burgundy. I wanted something that people would look at, step away and wait what color is it.

  7. Ya nailed it. Deleting the pitchforks & gills does so much for the look of this custom.

The 58 Impala has always been my dream car. I remember seeing one go past my school when I was in first grade. It was a couple years old. It was blue with blue interior. I was in a trance after seeing such a beautiful car..

You should be very proud of the finished piece. If you were trying to replicate an early '60's mild custom, you certainly did ! Enjoy it.

  15. Quite a transformation! I like the look with less "trim". Does it have a 327 Chevy and six Stromberg's?

It it about 8 years between getting the car and getting to where it is. Long road between work, deployments and the family.

even more commendable you got it done through deployments fuck yeah brother. I remember when I got back from deployment working on my project at the time was the only way to get some relief. cool stuff man, and its already been said but man that paintjob is killer!

Well you did fool some with thinking it was a black car. I saw the shade in the door sill. It is beautiful car. In my opinion, you have an iconic looking ride and it will be talked about for years to come. It's on a whole nother level! By the way, did you paint it? Or does someone else deserve kudos for their work?

No I didn’t paint it. My friend Brian Mackey painted it.
