Customs License plate info

  1. Picked up this license plate, anyone seen this before any 20210411_114325.jpg 20210411_114325.jpg info on it? Got it because I collect the old mini magazines

    That is what they put in place of your license plate when they did a feature on your car.

    IMG_2810.JPG It's late model and pretty common. Has nothing to do with "little pages" mags from back in the day. As said primarily put on cars photographed by the magazine in much more recent times. Only you know if you over paid.

    I'd say that Lost in the 50's nailed it and Bad shifter showed the plate in action. Nice wallhanger that you could surround with a cool license plate frame especially if you have an OT rig in the garage that had dreams of being a Car Craft cover car.

    My uncle has one of those because he was there! I think they even let people drive around the Indianapolis 500 track at the time.

    I had one from HOT ROD magazine that I'd attach to the front of my F100 when we went to Billetproof, Old Time drags at Fremont, etc.
    Ran it on a Poker Run in the Bay Area, parked the truck at Stanford University (for the Barbecue) and it disappeared.
    I was angered at the theft, won't relate what I did to some poor jerk I caught trying to steal my shield taillights right outside my shop...

    I took the picture from Google. I do have one of my own from 1981. not for sale
