50's, 60's R&R via CD, Classic Country via CD (I'm talk' in way back, Jimmy Rodgers, Hank Snow, Roy Acuff, the real stuff not this shit comin out these days), and conservative talk radio.

I generally like listening to WKCS, Falcon Radio, 91.1 for you locals. It’s the local high school radio station and they play from the ‘50s to 2000. Quite an eclectic mix. It can be streamed from your phone or computer, also if you don’t live in the area. Other than that, we hav a local AM station that plays “mid century “ as they call it. ‘50s , ‘60s,’70s. 1180 on the dial. There are a few oldies stations around East Tennessee. It just depends on what area you are in.

We're stuck with '80s and '90s here in Motown..... We hardly ever get to hear the good stuff......:(

  5. What's on the radio?.....Let's see.......Looks like fly specks, couple a mouse turds, what may be a glob of permatex( #2 I believe) and some red splattery stuff that may or may not be red wine from a shop gathering gone bad.

Nothing but static now. I installed LED lights and they wiped out my radio reception. Already had iffy reception, now nothing but static:(

I've been listening to the cd player but doing body work with bondo dust flying everywhere the cd player to a dump on me friday night, my guess is I need to open it up and blow the crap out of it. Then run a disc cleaner thru it to get the laser eye clean.

Had buddy holly going then went to the cars, now I'm at ted nugent I think. Did find my hank williams senior cd a couple days ago so I'd say thats my next move.

I wondered about problems like that, heard some say yes and others say no so in my shop that means a big yes!!

  13. Incredible! Thanks for the link. ;)

Chet Atkins has always sounded great. But what continously amazes me is that somehow his music seems to sound even better than it did 10 or 20 years ago.

Cool thing these days is streaming anyone's favorite over the internet while checking on the HAMB. Unfortunately, slows down progress on the projects.

  17. Mostly dust ... maybe the odd blood splatter.

  18. Like it or not, I'm getting an education here today. I knew Perfidia mainly as an instrumental from the 60s by The Ventures. Didn't realize that the song dates back to the 40s as a vocal piece. Much less that there was ever a reggae version as well.

And Junior Brown . . . Yeah, well . . . See him live if you ever get the chance.

punk is ok, the ramones, the clash, devo, sid..

Like I said I listen to a little bit of everything :D

My music collection looks like a bunch of stuff thrown together as there is no one definitive type or style of music.
