I would prefer the slotted ones, 6 to 6.5 width would be fine. I just want unique and I would rather they were affordable.

Looks like it should be easy enough bolt a rotor or brake drum to those bolts. My concern would be how heavy a plane did they come off of. You also need to remember planes do not usually turn on their wheels at 60 mph.

I think The Lincoln Versailles is a 14” wheel small pattern and no holes -

I hear that Americans cannot do things like they used to. This proves that some of us still have it awesome tom

  7. You heard that partially correct and partially incorrect. Used to be that most could because they had to. Some couldn’t.

now it’s that most don’t want to, for some it’s easier to say it’s to hard, it’s too far, it’s too heavy, I can’t do it. Some can and just get it done.

Was it Henry Ford who said, "Whether you say you can or say you can't you're right".

Well, I found a pair of halibrand 15x10 wheels for the rear at the swap meet. Not sure if these need to go on the 34 or my 32 and leave the slots on the 34.

Jim, another wheel venue might be Bogart "Steely Dan's" wheels. Not cheap, but 2 piece forged aluminum made to look like a stock factory steel wheel. Sizes run from 15" and up and any width.

I have been doing a lot of side work to fund the build. Should be back on it real soon. E5CD13CB-8838-4598-A976-4D12AC52F9B0.jpeg FAFC72E0-59FB-4138-9645-625061F51DE7.jpeg 86C2C5EE-F5CC-4BCC-912C-990AEFC62A54.jpeg 1E9B3D7B-D35E-4836-AD31-E2E64520CE67.jpeg

I stopped on the 34 because I needed to buy some specialized sheet metal tools. I now have them but I am almost at a point that the healey will drive. I should be back on the 34 very soon. 2BCD6EE6-8294-4375-B778-CD08B4CCE2F9.jpeg

The Healey is cool! That could use a build thread of it's own. I had a '60 3000 for a very short while but I sold it years ago and kind of regretted it. Last summer I bought a really truly fucked up Jag XKE that I'd like to do something similar to your Healey with.

  24. That Healey is bitchin’! I had a 64 3000. Sure regret selling it!

    That Healey is bad-ass!

My Dad's buddy Steve Harwood in Denver has a V-8 powered Healey he has had forever. He loves bringing it to the British car shows.

I also am in love with it. It looks so aggressive just sitting there... like it's ready to pounce on something.

    X3 on a build thread.

I had a Chevy-Healey a long time ago, but it was a 100-6, not a 100-4. Since the 4-cylinder cars are pretty rare, curious if you found just the body as a project?

And yes, please start a thread, that chassis looks AWESOME! We miss your posts...
