    looks to me like the little Dodge Red Ram hemi, not the bigger DeSoto or Chrysler.

    Agreed, Chryslers tend to stick out over the frame rails.

    It doesn't look like it has block side mounts. Without them it would be a 53-55 Dodge 241 or 270

    Looks like a water crossover on front of the heads with the t-stat housing. I'd say Chrysler 354.

    valve covers are definitely Dodge, not the bigger style...

  12. Like was said - Little Dodge Red Ram - a 241 based - the later 270 and up had the side mounts - that intake is also a give away.

    The only side mount 270s were 1956 and they were all polys 55 270 did not have side mounts. Mopar was known to have exceptions
