Yeh, that rant was spawned after opening another alert notice to find about 33 "likes" in a row from one person, it just seems like that is their only way of contributing to the HAMB.

  12. Well my current valve train requires something sort of big and boxy. So as far as sexy valve covers are concerned I am pretty much screwed.

For stock covers I like the 327 turbo fire covers real well. They used to be throw away valve covers believe it or not. Not so much today. If they were still cheap I would find two sets and make some covers for my current SBC, but alas they are not longer throw aways.

For aftermarket covers I have always been a sucker for the finned cal customs.

IMG_0569.JPG Someone had milled the name off in the recess, so I just got some re-pop VC stickers for the recess.
Didn't cost any more for the 365hp stickers, so I probably upped the HP for no money!!!LOL

  17. Personal favorite of mine, though I never owned a set. Did the ''V'' top drip oil on the rocker balls?

I'd imagine they do, just not sure it was by design. I could be wrong though.

Been running these spacers over stud girdels with good results on the drag car.
The middle picture has 327 covers over stud girdles on Vortec heads using adapter spacers.
I am also a sucker, but for the 327 covers, back in the day if you were running a 327 you were doing well,
was running a 283 then lol, maybe thats why I like them so much ;) 20170309_174126.jpg 11-23-19.JPG curing header paint.jpg

  27. Hey, you been in my garage !

I have lots of finned, couple sets of scripts but I'm a sucker for M/T for some reason.
These were a mystery set owned by a HAMBer that I really liked too.

Bill Desatoff (sp?) built a great Deuce Tudor back in the early ‘70’s, those are just Mickey Thompson covers with the M/T milled off and tall Moon breathers added. And yes, they look great.

I wouldn't call these my favorite but they would make great wallhangers.
