Well gentlemen, that is probably why I don’t get much done! Lol

So the corvette is my priority but I had stripped the 60 Catalina firewall this summer back in BC....before corvette lol and I wanted to get it painted before the weather gets wet.

But yes I’m have spread myself pretty thin!

  8. I'm right there with you man. If your list is somewhat according to priority, seems you have it figured out. If only there were more hours in a day...or at least that would be my request when it comes to getting anything done beyond the first few on the list. :D

Okay, so the pink paint is gone! OReilly’s auto parts sells GM Cordova metallic brown touch up paint. Good enough for “operation finish a project before I die!” And it’s not pink! Lol

BchctyBob was asking about the Pontiac so since the weather was nice it inspired us to do some engine parts painting! IMG_4745.JPG

We all need a little kick with the spurs once in a while! Lol. I'm a big fan of both of your cars but that Pontiac is just like the one I had in high school right down to 3 on the tree so it really got my attention.
    I haven't had a Corvette,....... yet.

Ha ha ha me too! Sometimes we all just need a little motivation!
I think we’ve had a little too much corvette fever over here and it resulted in some Pontiac neglect. Lol
We won’t let it happen again!

Love that Pontiac blue! Where did you find it?
I always wondered why Pontiac cast so little material around the throttle bores on their intakes, weight savings? Doesn’t leave much sealing surface and damn little for modifications.
Was that a factory 4bbl car or is that off of the later engine?

Bob, I ordered it from Ames. I have 3 cans so I hope that is enough.
The engine that came in the car was a 59 two barrel engine so it is possible that is what it was. This intake came off the red 62 Bonnieville I had. It was pretty rusty so I had it acid washed by my Machine shop guy.

The Pontiac got some love today! Finally got the old tires dismounted and the wheels soda blasted. IMG_5182.JPG

Just a little compare and contrast. IMG_5565.JPG
They are going polish up pretty nice. They came from a fellow H.A.M.B. Finding stuff like this that is not all beat to hell is getting rare. I’m definitely thankful to have picked them up.

Looks good. I like the wheel color with those hubcaps.

  26. I looked at a similar 1960 Pontiac 2 door, 3 speed stick shift at a used car lot way back when. I didn't buy it because I thought the clutch pedal was too hard to depress.
