Not as impressive as some but mine all the same, crammed under the hood of my 41 PU. You know the only thing I don't like about it is you can't clip your timing light on the plug wire without pulling the desoto wire covers. Bother!

 

That occurred to me too. Related question: Did you keep the dual points dizzy?

No, I went with Hot Heads plug n play MSD (black cap). It's owned by Holley so it works with my...er, nevermind.

 

There's no such thing as an overrated Hemi. Big or small eye appeal alone makes it something to want

 

here's one that was so overrated that NASCAR banned it.

 

Just another overrated 331, but I like it.


The longer I live the more I find that I do not fit in society at all any more.
Ya see that coil, where it is? That caused a heat problem and this little lady developed a high RPM miss that took me a solid year to solve. Solved that through MSD and moving the coil to the fire wall and it was running fine when putting it away last autumn.

 

And don't forget it's record at the top....like gas or alcohol.

Here's my over rated hemi. So far 10.14 @ 137 in the 1/4, fully streetable, finished Drag Week and will get lots faster when I get it dialed in. 8 carbs on an Edelbrock X3 intake, manual trans, in a 31 Plymouth.

 

I owned one for about 6 months back when I was a young man. Couldn't afford to do anything with it, so I traded it for an off topic Mopar performance car. It was a good trade for me. The guy I traded with sold the Hemi a few months later.
My son has (3) 3rd gen Hemis, but they are probably not the topic for this thread.. Gene

 

Only Hemi I ever owned was a Japanese 4 cylinder.......
