So I have been wanting one of these for a good while now but never found one that fit the holes in my wallet. Well recently I did, so felt like I maybe I should document and share my process for getting this back to driving condition. Hope you enjoy. So here is my progress so far, not the best of pictures but this is kind of an after thought so I will try to take better photos from here on out. Got the car home a little less than a month ago and I’m working two jobs right now but hope to keep the pace up, even tho with having a baby at home I bet I won’t. Thank you! Yeah, I know. I’m doing this on a pretty strict budget tho so I’ll just have to put in the hours. Got a few hours in today, made some adjustments on the driver side rocker and started making the passenger side. I will make both and then lower the body over and weld them in. Will order some new tools tomorrow to help make the finishing touches on these before I weld it up. A bead roller with electric feed amongst other things, so I don’t have to crank it. Today I made most of the pieces for the substructure in the floors, got some awkward pieces done for the transmission cover and welded in the front corner of the body. Tomorrow I will start cleaning up the pieces and final weld it in so I can get it ready to weld it all into the body. Skickat från min iPhone med H.A.M.B.
I need to get this all finished up and welded into the body before I can go ahead and start the chop and then lift the body off so I can repair the frame and build my kick up in the rear before I make the final work on the floors. I kinda will end up jumping back and forth which is not ideal but my limited garage space and the winter roaring outside kinda forces my hand. Today I started making the last pieces for the substructure of the floors and the first pieces of the floors themselves. Should be some quick progress as soon as I got some time out there again. Most of the pieces are done now and I should be able to finish up these floors pretty quick and the to cut this long haired hippy down a bit. Think 3 inches should be good off the top. Nice work, keep posting! We had a two week vacation planned to Sweden last May to see my grand parents homeland but we had to cancel the trip due to the stupid virus. Someday we will plan another trip and maybe I see your car at a car show.

I had to re-do some stuff on this panel, was in a little hurry when making it the heat time and forgot the mounting holes for the body to the frame.. Might make a new one, it bugs me that I had to pound out the previous beads but I will wait and make some more progress on the floors first. Nice metal work fabbing all your replacement parts...very informative. I've always wondered about the steps involved in rebuilding the floor of the 35-40 Fords. When you finish you should add this thread to the build index.
I have a buddy that has had a '35 3 window for nearly twenty years. It wasn't even rusty, & you have already soared by him in the progress you've made. Nice Scandinavian ingenuity
