'54 Chev - mine.JPG The best one I ever had. One piece bumpers, torched springs, black wheels & baldies = custom, right ?

You heat the springs with a torch and then sit on the fenders, true old school right there

Thanks for the info!. Does it need to be cut apart and reworked or is it a more straight forward install?.

An older photo of my '54 Bel Air is currently in the middle of P.3, I'm working on the 3rd. and probably the last rendition of this 2dr. post sedan. Not sure where this car fits, a really mild custom or a bit of hot rod ?
    Curious what you think...dyno dave

Its definitely a nice mild kustom ... with a snorty hot rodded 235. I like the red accents, the 210 spears on the front fenders, the simulated (with paint) Poncho beltline. All nice touches, but would really love to hear that 6 running through the twice pipes.

  28. Seeing all these beautiful Chevys I am almost ashamed to put this one up. I got this in 1974 by trading the owner an AM/FM radio for a Studebaker! He started it in 1959 and the body work was done by Christy Massios of Middleton Mass(now in Maine and still building cars at 80).All the work is metal and it had a 56 Olds engine and standard transmission.Hand made dash and roof console with 59 Olds wheel and Chrysler swivel seats. I sold it after some punk put a boulder through the windshield and it went through several owners before the original owner bought it back several years ago. There is one picture I found on line of the car taken around 2016.
Also thought I'd throw in a couple of pics of the 54 my friend Tom Leichty bought new and customized. No idea where that one is now. 1954ChevroletFront.jpg 1954ChevroletRear.jpg 1954ChevroletInterior.jpg PaulO'Neill'sChopped54Chevy2016-2.jpg b4GoldenPenny2-vi.jpg b4GoldenPenny3-vi.jpg TomsChevy.JPG

Here are a few that I have pictures of over the years. The green one with the silver top is Moomey's & is one of my favorites. I love the Packard tail lights on the rear & the Pontiac trim under the windows looks so much better than the plain jane Chevy stock trim.
