This cleaned the lines up greatly. I like it way better than the factory version. Thanx.

And here's the original for comparison:

This would be easy enough to do using a '63 Imperial rear bumper and putting tail lights in the reverse light holes. I agree, the design is much nicer looking without the "flashlights". I'm still going all-in on the '61 fins, but that is a nice, clean look.

Moose did a great job of photo shopping my “Ranchero” from a pic of my project in its early stages and a nice grey coupe 2 years ago. I am a couple weeks away from putting it in final primer which I am going to drive it in for the summer. Next up is glass and interior. I need to decide on interior color and so should try figure out an exterior color first. The interior will be maroon, distressed grey, or a caramel color. I’ve always had the light grey exterior in my mind, but lately thinking about other choices. Yes; I’d love black, navy, or maroon, but at 71 I don’t want to have to wash it every day. So the light grey, soft yellow, a taupe (tan) or similar are in my thoughts. I want a solid, NO bright yellow, orange or red color. Either wheel combo will work. So I’m asking for ideas and help from the masters on here. Thank you. Jake.

  19. You might try the stock 50 Ford "Seafoam Green".

This is my "wifes" car. She has been talking about wanting to paint it Wimbledon white with a rose gold top. Would like to ask if someone can do that for me please. I would like to show my wife ,and hopfully that will inspire her so we can finally get it done. Thanks 20210207_142541.jpg

That has been a thought, but I’m not much of a green guy.

When I was a kid my Dad had a '50 Ford Tudor that was Seafoam Green. We called it 'Sick Green'. That was appropriate :D

Thanks much Moose. That answers that question. You did a great job, but neither of those spark my interest. How about similar to this 49 convert?

Moose, I apologize for intruding but I thought a light blue grey would look good.

:D Hell, I'm so much a "green freak" that I even like things that've been sitting at the back of the bottom shelf in the 'fridge for two years (also, note avatar ;)). But, to this day, my bud & I still refer to "Seafoam Green" as "Monkey Vomit Green". :D

Thanks madfish. It’s always fun to see more options. I’m not into baby blue, but a duller drab blue might work...and anyone is welcome to throw on black, navy or maroon to see what if...
