Going to graft the trailing 4"> 2" of a '30 closed car cowl to the leading edge of a '30 roadster quarter...
making a transfer from closed car to roadster beltlines by diminishing the smaller, lower bead and letting the trailing edge of the door fit flush...
will also let me use the CC A pillar as the new B pillar... stronger than the roadster's B pillar...
    .
will need to shorten the roadster quarter the door difference plus the 2" or so of cowl metal...will have about 5" from the roadster's B pillar back, for sale or trade...
    .
using the CC cowl section will mean it needs to be sectioned about 5/8" the thickness of the to be removed lower beltline bead... pix when i do that...

A lot of really neat work to actually make it a roadster, instead of just another coupester, Pretty damn impressive.

    Thanks 33,
Not just the cost of roadster parts, but the longer coupe doors [27.5"], [roadster 24"] are a plus for a "big man"...
Going to keep the cockpit the roadster size [5" less than coupe] with big man doors...
subfloor build 1/2 old and rotten, 1/2 new home fabbed steel, pix to come...

    boom !
because i was cutting off the subfloor for the '32 frame kicks i didn't need the subfloor's rear half,
well this subfloor didn't have a rear anything...
had to scab in some patches just to get to the frame kick-up sections...

Home made subfloor kick-ups, [ brake and shrinker]...
the kick ups are made from 2 layers of 90* bent strips and a buddy's shrinker...
drilled holes to rosette them together,
    LT. eye surgury thursday,
can't go anywhere till then [covid test/ quarentene]...
didn't want to run out of shielding gas... tacks only till then...
not building the rear of the floor till i put the body on... rectangular pan to hold the battery, cables, toolbox, water jug... etc...

Cut the roadster quarter, trimmed it to fit the '30 A closed car cowl's trailing 4.5" plus i kept the A pillar.
the A pillar is much more rigid than the roadster's B pillar...
yes i am as guilty as the next guy... you can see where i added the door offset when i should have subtracted it... errrrrr !.

Following "roll the dices'" lead with a "sloppy" parts list...
of coarse i am at the lower end of $ investment scale...
i don't keep track of labor $ as i am retired and like "most" of the work...
    parts cost so far ;
'32 frame -$600, sold the rear X mem. for $100...
    'A - H/L bar "stands" + Deits 7" h/l pr. -$75 ...
    '30 grill - $100...
    front X mem. - 75...
    2"x 4" tube rear X mem. - $20...
'30 closed car cowl - $100... firewall stashed...
    '30 dash rail... - $75 ...
    '28-'29 roadster stanchions - $150...
    '32 comm. w/s frame - $200...
    '30-'31 coupe doors LT. - $100... RT. free, w/ a new belt down skin -$75 ...
    "Spanky's door caps - $50 pr.
'30 cpe. pr. of "no roof" qtrs. - $500... traded for '30 roadster qtrs...
    '30-'31 above deck panel... - $100...
    '30-'31 below deck panel... $125...
    '30 subfloor, rusty front half. - $50...
home made rear subfloor kick ups - $15...
    'A front suspension . - $100...
'A front frame horns, as rear '32 frame horns - $50...
    '
    total parts ; $2,255 old math ?

Been a while as i slowly got over pooching the roadster / sport coupe splice...
A much appreciated hamber gave me my money back on the r. qtrs...
Back to using a pair of sport coupe quarters i had planned on using on another "coupester"...
Has plenty of dings, welding pin holes and some lower rust out...
Had a nice tulip, thanks hamber.. bought a repop lower panel...
    >>>>Deck needs the lower 1"-2"... anyone making that patch ? <<<<

    Thanks boys !
Trimmed my A frame horns, flipped then upside down, leved and tacked...
buddy gets me the 1.5" stainless pipes the dr.'s equipment adjusts on, use as my spreader bars...
will need the difference in frame rail thickness filled in... will support the back half of the trunk and the spreader bar... didn't have to rebuild the lower body to clear the '32 rear frame horns...
