I don't have a picture of it other than the one burned into my brain but I was hoping a local might have one to post.
A 55/56 ford PU, Chrome fenders! (all 4), chrome running boards, plexiglass roof insert and a wild paint job and striping by "The Beard". I saw it years ago at a Wooden Chicken Cruise-in. I took photos on my cell but that was many phones ago. @Marty Strode @Pist-n-Broke @DDDenny @Taboo56Chevy you guys know this rig? When I saw it it looked like it had been stored for decades in a heated bedroom. I would love to see it here.

I've been to "The Chicken" many times, a couple county fairs and even a goat rope'n shindig.
Can't say it rings a bell Billy.

  22. I know of the truck you are talking about, but I don't think I have any pics or info on it. Yeah it defiantly stood out at the local cruise ins. You might try looking through PDX Car Cultures website or facebook of photo albums. He might have snapped a pic of the truck.

  23. This one escapes me. I don't think I've ever seen it, surly I would remember it. I've been a first gen F-100 guy forever.

Great idea, I went through the folders and found a lot of pictures of my cars and my friends but not that truck.
I was going to ask you about one day and it slipped my mind. Oh well, maybe someone will find a photo, it belongs on here.

From old HAMB thread, may find a nugget within.

I was the paint supervisor at "the beard auto arts" off Holgate in Milwaukie, Oregon during the late 70's and early 80's. Jack sold the business in the early 80's. At that time he was almost totally blind. Jack considered me his protégé. I had the honor of painting the custom job on Jack's personal car. I also developed the technique for spotting white pearl (previously thought impossible) and did most of the custom painting at the shop. We would have other people like Dale Figley come in to help with special projects such as the zoo/omsi/tri-met bus. During that time Burrell prepped the jobs and painted guitars in his spare time. Marty was from Texas and was the only other painter. Marty took pictures of everything we did and had a huge photo album. It was a very special time. Jack always said, "Enjoy it while it's happening because they forget so soon." I lost track of everyone after Jack sold the business. I can answer most questions about that time (late 70's to early 80's)
