  12. Been clocking up a few miles in the lovely weather bedding in the latest diamond B.
First thoughts on the Brierley head is that it needs less total advance. Or the curve reducing in the Mallory. Might try adapting a vacuum advance dizzy from a Mini and see how that works.

Also been looking at adapting '35 rear brakes to a Columbia. Beginning to wonder if I'm in danger of over complicating this...

ToyoKoygo... I think '83 up for a Ford 2wd Ranger first is a little low like 4:1
But the car has 2:22 rear gear IMG_20200717_151020090_HDR.jpeg

  17. Ah, so it would be the same as my old 2WD Mazda B2200. That had a huge gap between 3rd & 4th.

Picking up an engine tomorrow that supposedly has fresh babbitt, turned crank, valve job, etc. Hopefully a good foundation for a build. Also found among my plunder today a BB bellhousing. I know the AA bellhousing is popular for tranny swaps but what about the BB? Maybe won't work on an A engine?

Test drove the lowered rear spring..nice not having a hardtail anymore, too damn old for that. Battling an icing issue, single down draft/header doesn't transfer heat...found some aluminum and little 12v heat 'tape'..the tape or heat pad would fit nicely directly below the carb, but requires wiring..ducting heat off the header ruins the look..might go back to a stock manifold and a cherrybomb..ughh

Checking in for the year! Here is hoping things will be more fun this year. I see "BCCHOPIT" on Instagram occasionally . Mostly he posts straight axle pics that he has been building.
