38 Ford Std, was in much better shape when i first saw it 40 years ago. JW

 

Some English, top left Austin Somerset, next to it is an Austin A-40 Devon and under it is a Phase 1 Vanguard. JW

 

Only way to know is to see a photo of the rear of the car.

 

Way too many cars that are supposedly gonna get restored someday.....just rotting away.

 

That's a really cool looking car! What is it?

 

1963 Ford Consul Capri

 

This must be the Austin corner . That A40 looks better than mine . The bright blue ute on the left is a late 1950,s Austin A55 or A60. Hinge and light are a dead-ringer. I had one, even the angle-iron bumper is the same. Inbetween the blue ute and the Vanguard looks like the trunk of a A50 sedan ( side fender-panel is screwed on )

Rare car, even in the UK were they were build.

 

I thought they were built in the UK. you still see the odd nice one in NZ and i saw i nice one at LARS last year. They are based on the 315 Consul(that have the angled rear window like the 105E Anglia) but are a Capri. JW

 

Those Austin pickups are cute. Never saw one before. Want one to play with. Thinking 20R/22R Toyota 4 banger and 5 speed...

Holy smoke, that’s in amazing condition for something that’s sitting in a forest plantation. I am surprised that the workers not only did not crush it but actually went out of their way to avoid even damaging it. If that was sitting in State Forest here in Australia, they would deliberately crush it just for fun. Old cars are not valued here.

 

It looks like a tough neighbourhood.
