Don't have any on one as of now, but have had my share on cars through out the years.

  14. All I could picture in my mind, was WILE E. COYOTE cruisin' down the highway on a gravy sandwich at 70 mph, with that goofy look on his face when he just realized he was in big trouble!!! :D:D:D

Anybody remember the solid white Cragar SS ? I think they called them a snow mag? I had a set of those on a 64 Impala I owned for a week. Never saw another set on the street, only in ads, must have not caught on.....

  18. I've seen some horrible homemade examples lol, dragging some rusty wheels out and painting them. But I've seen some of them done that were believable too.

  19. I think CRAGARS are timeless , still like them as much today as I did 40 years ago.

My uncle's '69 Z/28 had a set when he bought it. It had been a drag car for years, the fronts were very narrow and the rears stuck out a bit beyond the wheel well, with air shocks to keep the tires from contacting the lip. I gave him a coffee mug one Christmas that looked like a Cragar lug nut.

These were factory painted. They looked pretty good on that red 64. This was back around 1985 I think? Like I said, I never saw another set on anything, just the ads in the magazines. Probably pretty rare now....

Thank you, that's very kind of you.

  23. That's where it started for me. Guy named Mark Wagoner had a sunflower yellow 69 in high school with big and little cragar's, air shocks, the whole shebang. Honestly that car was what shaped my love for this hobby. It looked like grumpy Jenkins car. It couldn't have looked near as good with centerlines or slots in my opinion.

Hated to mount tires on them with the Coates 20/20 tire machine the station I worked at in the '70's had. My guess is that with today's machines they are much easier to mount but back then they were a real PITA to deal with.

  27. Had my first set of cragar SS wheels on my 69 nova when I was sixteen . Wish I still had those wheels and the car.
