I know right? Thanks.....you can see why I'm leaning that way, but will they be strong enough for the wear and tear? We shall see!

Thanks bread......What I need to do is get a list together and start going down it....I find myself all over the place sometimes and not focused on one task at a time.....and that can be detrimental to progress! Maybe this weekend I'll put one together.....

I like the stock hinges. One bolt and the deck lid comes off, clean and out of sight, work great.

Hey Aaron! I still need to get the rain gutter set with the stops installed so I can see where the deck lid wants to lay and how the lines look. Wife wants the rumble seat installed.....we shall see....thanks for the input!

I see flat subrails, so the "A" frame stops at the rear end, no frame beyond that point...
the way people tail gate today, at today's speed, a quick stop and a rumble passenger could get cut in half...
does she want to put anybody she loves in that rumble seat...?
    only my $0.02

No....she just likes the rumble seat.....I'd never be dumb enough to ride a passenger on the highway....

Just can’t find those damn spot welds! Rust and not that my eyesight is really that good.....it’s frustrating.....a Spottle would be nice to have too....but....I’ll clean it up nice after I weld the gutters in....some seam sealer and I’m good ta go! I’ll tack these in place, then fit the deck lid! Thanks for stoppin’ by fellas!! IMG_0577.JPG IMG_0579.JPG

    Houston.....we have a problem....
Deck twisted.... I’m sure once I have the hinges secured, I’ll be able to twist it and tweak it into place. Right now I just have the gutters screwed in place.... I wanted to make sure they were located correctly before I weld them.....Merry Christmas everyone!! IMG_0590.JPG IMG_0591.JPG

Well..... I know I’m gonna hafta live with imperfect lines....nature of the beast I guess. I did get my hinges installed today and it made things alot easier. I unscrewed the gutters to get things close. I have a bunch of welding clamps coming so I can clamp the gutters better when I reinstall them. I’ve hot some ideas to tweak the lines and bring them in a little better.....until then, Merry Christmas fellas!! IMG_0598.JPG IMG_0597.JPG IMG_0596.JPG

I scooped up a free frame and made a body jig....I tired of fighting with this thing! I was supposed to pick one up already done but disaster struck.....so, cash flow ain’t so good right now....but free is for me! Had the casters here at work too. No more dragging it to the shop!!

Progress....FINALLY!! Getting the deck set. Still some tweaking....gotta cut the tack welds I put at the bottom of the B pillar and the left quarter should drop the 3/16 I need. I’ll brace it all up so I can get the rear subrails set in place that I managed to pick ip CHEAP!!....this has been making me crazy, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel here.....YES!! Thank you kind Sir! I've had enough of the deck lid and it's time to install the new subrails and move on! THIS has been the biggest challenge so far. I can finish the minor tweaks when I start the body work. It's time to finish up the welding and grinding and start the filler work. Thanks for sticking with me fellas!
