I see you've added more lighting along the back wall. Should really help with the late night projects.:)

7161A66D-3338-41CA-A332-7FF28D60BBCF.jpg looking from this angle I think it needs a drop axle More and more everyday. Not sure how much of one but needs it forsure. Have the brake parts head up this weekend so more progress and pics of that little adventure. I imagine it’s gonna be fun beating the old junk off and putting the new on.

Make sure your torch tanks are full and your big hammers are well rested lol.

  7. Reversing the spring eyes will lower it about inch or so, if it needs more a '33-'36 axle will drop the front another 1-1/2" or so.

I think early hot rods look great standing tall! The stance makes the A look much bigger than it is... and more imposing. But it'll look great either way!

Hey thanks. I didn’t know that about the 33 to 36 axle.

Sure makes them easier to get in and out of when they stand tall. :)

I think once you lose the short slicks and put some 750’s on back you’ll be right where you want it.

if it’s not low enough in the front just throw it in the jig and we can drop/‘narrow it how ever much you want.

still think it’ll be perfect with taller back tires and rockers but it’s good to have a plan just in case

The slicks and rockers are definitely killing the look right now

IMG_0645.JPG IMG_0646.JPG well sand blasted my Doyle 1115 old tail light housings and trying to think of how to mount them. Maybe gonna use a nerf bar and hang them on each side of the rear plate.

  20. I can still remember when you could buy those at any parts store truck stop and some gas stations. When we used to pull everything from the front of a '57 Chevy but the lip around the grill hole we used to pull the gun sights from the hood and use those (amber or white) for turn signals in the holes where the gun sites used to be.

Those are cool. I used to always have one or two of them hung off my rear end under the car.

High Stepping Hotrod was a prewar thing as mentioned I like the look as well...it's looking good...great progress @Austin kays

I was wondering what rockers meant...I was thinking that's a nickname for bike tires up front but I get it now the Rust belt signature at the bottom 2 or three inches...don'tcha' hate that northern trademark...

Hi Austin, I’m loving the 4 banger head in your local machine shop. Any chance you could give me his contact details? Thanks Martin

Those lights are cool. How stiff is that fabric? Will they swing much?

I’ll get on that this project is needing a fire under its ass so too speak and a little flathead noise usually does the trick

The fabric is kinda flimsy it will have to have some sort of solid mount don’t want them looking like bright red flags flowing in the wind!!!

Fire being the key word because I’m sure it’s a little chilly in your shop at the moment. I have to live vicariously through your build, I’m laid up with a broken leg so I’ve been pouring over your build thread

I wonder if there is some sort of liquid plastic or something that you could soak into the fabric to make it stiffer. Think when the you drop the dog leash and that fucker runs straight to the pond and goes for a swim. When the leash dries out it's stiffer for a little while lmao. Like that but more permanent haha. (Maybe that's just a me experience)
