Thanks, I’ve set a goal to have it running in 2021...hopefully by the summer.

Just picked up the b-pillar brackets from the welder. I got these with the standard dash a while back. They had been torch cut at some point in their life to channel a car. I made the missing lower supports and had them professionally welded. I’ll clean up the welds later

I figured I would install this shield before I connect the front and center floor panels. Of course I had to make it first

Finished up connecting the rear section. Installed rivets with the waffle rivet set.

Had to press three rebates in the subrails to match up with the floor.

At the joint between the forward and middle subrail pieces there was half of a rebate missing on the forward piece. I pressed it in and joined all 3 together.

Got the subrails all welded and attached to the floor. I’m stressing about everything lining up. For example a b-pillar being off by 1/8 inch at the base is magnified at the top. I’m going to start offering up the quarters and doors. Already have identified 1/2 inch discrepancies at the left a-pillar. I have a couple options...

Welded the subrails to the floor using a plug weld every 2 inches

Got the floor finished and primered the bottom with red oxide. One coat of seam sealer

The rear quarter panels I’m going to use had some serious “customization “ done. The lip around behind the seat was cut off, with the top of the “hoop”. Sheetmetal was screwed welded and lead was then liberally applied to smooth everything.

To disassemble the rear clip I had to cut in the middle of the upper body line on all three panels. I did get a SAR quarter off-cut for the driver side, but had to make the passenger

Got the b-pillars mounted, the drivers side gaps real good. I have to take off about 1/8 inch of wood on the passenger side, but I’ll wait until I fit a few more things.

I was able to reuse the upper b-pillar brackets, but the “hoop” that ties them together was too damaged to reuse. It has a lot of compound curves, I formed it with a buck, shrinker/stretcher and hand forming. Still needs some smoothing

I’ve been working on the transmission. I ended up replacing all the gears with NOS I got off eBay.
