My dad always meant to narrow the Corvette rear to tuck em, but I've known it this way my whole life and can't imagine it otherwise:

Thats me in June of 69, 3yrs old, leaning on the fender of my Dads 37 Chevy in Newhall Calif.
Bought a 37 coupe recently, going to build a 60s style HotRod/gasser tribute to my Dads.
Remember looking through all of his old photo albums as a kid, at all of the So Cal drag races he took pictures at.
him telling me about his favorites, Big John Mazmanian, Panella Trucking, Jr Thompson, Stone Woods& Cook, etc.
    Love and miss you Dad!

Here are a couple shots of my Anglia. Built during the 60's Gasser Wars and last raced in the early 70's, the rear tires know no limits.

And of course the push-car roadster is the '22 Dodge featured in the movie The Lively Set. Very cool image.

Seeing these cars with "nose bleed" and all the tread on their rear tires exposed makes me so, so happy to fast forward to today and narrowed rears and tubbed fender wells. LOL.

  18. I really like this thread. A photo of my delivery at Ocean city back in the 80's. Plus some of my very old models. The old rubber band has rotted off the blower drive on the 56 Vette. But yeah, loved the big tires back then. lol 949.jpg 937.jpg 939.jpg 184.jpg

  19. Awesome 60's and 70's cars, you just got to love them, I'm glad I grew up during that era! With all that's going on it would be great to go back to those times, WHY can't we all just get along. God Bless everyone and be safe.
